Friday

Happy Friday!

In math, we have spent the past few days using different tools to estimate and measure various widths, lengths, and heights around the classroom. We have discussed referents for both meters and centimeters and are starting to recognize when these different measurements can be used.

In science today, we chose animals that we will be spending the next week researching. We are planning to use our research to create nonfiction books on these animals. If you happen to have shoe boxes lying around that you would be willing to donate to our classroom, we may also be creating dioramas of these animals' habitats.

In art, we created Wonder inspired self-portraits to go along with the novel that we have been reading. The word webs around our portraits reflect our identity including our character traits, what we are interested in, what is important to us, and who we are to other people. We are very proud of our work!

Enjoy the fathers day weekend and if you partake in Eid, I hope you are enjoying the celebrations!
