Friday
Happy Friday!
I hope everyone has stayed safe and warm this week with all of the snow that we got.
Despite the snowstorm, we kept busy in the classroom!

The artifacts in the images above are from the Fort Calgary Kit that we are lucky enough to get to explore in our classroom over the next week!
With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought I'd share how it works at Ken Taylor.
We will celebrate and recognize Valentine's Day on the 14th but this will be done through connections to our curricular areas such as art, math, and language arts. Students are welcome to exchange Valentine's Day cards in the afternoon if they would like to, but they are not required to. If you do decide to make cards, please ensure that each child in the class receives one to avoid hurt feelings. See the list of student and staff names for our classroom below. Due to dietary restrictions, we will not be exchanging any food but your child is welcome to bring a special snack for themselves that they can enjoy while we read a story in the afternoon.
