Welcome

Welcome To Grade 3 With Mrs. D’Appolonia!

My name is Mrs. D’Appolonia and I am one of the newest staff members at Kenneth D. Taylor. I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such wonderful staff and students! After getting to know the students in the three grade 3 classrooms the past while, I am happy to say that our first full week in the classroom together was a success. I am eager to see what the rest of the school year has in store!
In order for you to get to know me better, I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. This past summer I began my married life and moved from my home in British Columbia to the beautiful city of Calgary. I have to say that the severe weather has been a bit of a shock, but I have been loving the sunshine despite the cooler temperatures. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time in the kitchen, baking and cooking all sorts of dishes. I am also a huge animal lover and try to get outdoors as much as possible to explore new hiking grounds.
I will update the classroom blog each week to keep you up to date on what we're learning in the classroom. The blog can be accessed through the school website by clicking on the “Teacher Blogs” link. After clicking on this link, scroll down to the grade 3 section and click on the “blog” button beside my name. You will find a lot of information here in the upcoming weeks. Please feel free to send me an email at ardappolonia@cbe.ab.ca, call the school at 403-817-3504, or come by the classroom for a visit if you have any questions or concerns! My door is always open.

I look forward to meeting you all as the school year progresses!

Amanda D’Appolonia
